At HIGRA, we hire professionals. The best in each area.

Traditionally, many companies use the term “employee” to refer to their staff. We propose a provocative reflection: does this term capture the essence of what really happens behind the scenes? More than a semantic issue, this change of words is part of HIGRA’s DNA. It’s a transformation that reflects a deeper recognition of the value and importance of each team member. In modern times, in our entrepreneurial journey, we see that the precision of words is as vital as market strategy.

We understand that we are “collaborators” when we get involved in volunteer activities, cooperate in neighborhood associations or actively participate in parent groups at our children’s school. In these contexts, collaborating means contributing to a common effort with no expectation of a direct financial return, driven by a sense of community and mutual support. In the workplace, however, the reality is different. We are not just collaborating; we are trading our expertise and time for remuneration. The term “professional” more accurately reflects the contractual relationship and commitment to results that defines our work in companies. These professionals are not there just to contribute, but to deliver concrete results, leverage the business and be remunerated for their performance. It’s a mutually agreed deal.

In addition, the idea that each professional should participate in the company’s results is fundamental. This transcends simple remuneration and moves towards a business model where everyone is encouraged to strive for the best possible result, as they share directly in the results of success. This culture not only motivates superior performance, but also strengthens the alignment between individual and corporate objectives. Professionals prefer to wear the company shirt that best matches their own.

In the business world, it’s not enough to participate; you have to stand out, innovate and win. Replacing “employee” with “professional” and implementing profit-sharing are critical steps towards a pro-innovation corporate culture that values competence and encourages excellence.

That’s why we don’t hire employees; we hire qualified professionals who are committed to your and our commitment: a better future and a legacy of sustainability. Anyone who thinks like that can already be a HIGRA professional.
