EDAM - Modular Amphibious Drainage Station

A robust and efficient solution that replaces vulnerable traditional pump houses, EDAM is ideal for preventing and dealing with the challenges caused by floods and climatic events, which have caused significant damage to urban infrastructures, resulting in considerable economic and social losses.

 

The EDAM replaces older models of rainwater pump houses, which tend to fail at critical moments due to their dry motors and electric drive panels, as these need to be switched off when submerged.

 

With versatile amphibious motor pump assemblies, working both submerged and in dry environments, EDAM represents reliability and flexibility for stormwater management. Designed to operate in flood-prone areas, EDAM offers effective water level control, especially during flood periods.

MOBILE DRAINAGE SYSTEM IN URBAN SETTINGS

A system developed by HIGRA comprising a HIGRA submersible and/or amphibious pump, hose, transport trolley and electric panel, powered by a generator, to deal with urgent or preventive urban drainage situations.

 

With this solution, we are enabling communities to benefit from effective measures to prevent, control and/or reduce damage in the event of flooding.

In 2023, the city of São Leopoldo/RS was hit by an extratropical cyclone. Responding quickly to a request from SEMAE and the City Council, we provided 3 HIGRA Submersible Pumps, capable of draining 450 liters of water per second, in record time.

 

In just a day and a half, we delivered the Mobile Drainage System, as an efficient solution to combat the flooding that affected the northeastern region of the city.

 

Easy to install, this system guarantees fast and efficient drainage, transferring the water accumulated in the stream to the dyke and preventing new floods.

 

HIGRA technologies offer agile support in drainage situations, whether in cases of flood or drought, and have played a major role in preventing disasters in several cities in Brazil.
