Ease of installation, economy and the benefits of amphibiousness were some of the features that led the city of Caxias, in Maranhão, to invest in HIGRA Amphibious Pumps. Part of the program aimed at expanding supply capacity to meet the needs of the next 20 years, the new catchment raft arrived in the municipality in February this year and will bring greater hydro-energy efficiency and savings to the city.
“This model will reduce the power of the old pumping system by around 20%,” says HIGRA director Silvino Geremia. Mayor Léo Coutinho stressed that, with the acquisition, the city has become a pioneer in the state.
“This pump operates in any type of situation. The technology embedded in this catcher raft is unique, helping us to have one of the most modern and economical water systems in Maranhão.”
