Located in the upper part of the city, at the time the neighborhood accounted for 1/3 of the number (37,449) of connections in the supply sector, out of a total of 118,900. The previous project had a high loss rate and its obsolescence made pressure control impossible. SABESP, the company responsible for supplying water and collecting and treating sewage in 365 municipalities in the state of São Paulo, acquired three sets of amphibious motor pumps which have been in operation since that date and fully meet the proposed demand. The project led to an increase in the EEA’s operational reliability, with the implementation of a basic reserve group, efficient control of the pumping pressure using frequency inverters and a significant reduction in losses with effective pressure control (35 to 27 mca).

“We’ve been using the HIGRA system in Americanópolis for five years and to date we haven’t had any maintenance problems.
