October 30, 2000<\/strong> \u2014 Exactly 25 Years Ago, Our Story Began. On this day, HIGRA was officially founded, marking the start of our journey in innovation, technology, and sustainability within the water cycle. <\/p>\n\n

Like a river that flows, our story began decades ago. It started on the factory floor and along the irrigation canals of southern Brazil, where our founders and great mentors, Silvino Geremia and Dilceu Elias de Moura<\/strong>, identified a challenge no one had yet solved properly: how to pump water more efficiently, reliably, and simply. <\/p>\n\n

From this restlessness came the idea that still defines HIGRA today \u2014 Amphibious Technology<\/strong>. Through it, we embraced the mission of developing technologies that make the water cycle more efficient, recover wasted energy, and enable sustainable access to natural resources. <\/p>\n\n

From Workshops to the World: How Amphibious Pumps Were Born<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Before HIGRA formally existed, between 1971 and 1996, Bombas Geremia<\/strong> served as the practical school for the professionals who would later create the company. It was there that Seu Silvino, as everyone affectionately called him, developed the technical knowledge and sense of purpose that laid the foundation for HIGRA. <\/p>\n\n

During a trip, inspiration turned into vision. Looking out the airplane window, Silvino noticed the turbine and, turning to his partner Dilceu, said he had discovered a new path \u2014 the next generation of pumps they would create:\u201cOur pump will work like an airplane turbine \u2014 but instead of air, it will move water.\u201d From that insight, the core concept of HIGRA\u2019s Amphibious Pumps<\/strong><\/a> was born. <\/p>\n\n

    Today, around 200 professionals work directly within HIGRA\u2019s ecosystem, a number that continues to grow every year. This expansion reflects the strengthening of our Engineering, Production, and Revenue Generation areas, as well as new structures dedicated to international expansion and process modernization.     Internationally, 2025 brought steady export performance, with presence in Latin America, Africa, Europe, and Oceania. Our focus has been on strengthening local partnerships and ensuring technical and regulatory standardization for sustainable scaling. Our mid-term goal is to balance domestic and international revenue, reaching up to 25% of total sales from exports. <\/p>\n\n
